Choral Ensembles

 

VANDALEERS CONCERT CHOIR (Monday/Friday 12:30-1:20 p.m.; Tuesday/Thursday 12:30-1:45 p.m.)

Vandaleers have a long and proud tradition since 1930. This select group performs the finest choral repertoire of all styles and eras, and serves as the premiere touring choral ensemble at the University of Idaho.

 

UNIVERSITY CHORUS (Monday/Friday 2:30-3:20 p.m.)

This non-auditioned choir studies and performs distinctive choral music of the past five centuries.

 

MEN’S CHORUS (Wednesday 2:30-3:20 p.m.)

The Men’s Chorus is a musical outlet for all U-Idaho men who enjoy the camaraderie of choral singing. The group performs a wide variety of musical styles, sacred and secular, serious and light.

 

WOMEN’S CHORUS  (Wednesday 2:30-3:20 p.m.)

The Women’s Chorus enjoys rehearsing and performing treble music encompassing a wide range of music genres. 

 

Lionel Hampton School of Music

 

The Lionel Hampton School of Music is a close-knit community of prominent performers, teachers, composers, and scholars who interact with dedicated and talented students. We promote a musically comprehensive, nationally competitive, and respected learning environment. Our students learn by performing, listening, analyzing, and creating music within a rigorous curriculum. Our faculty challenge students to achieve high scholastic and artistic goals. Together, the faculty and students create an atmosphere of professional awareness, mutual support, and outreach. We advance the art of music through hundreds of concerts and recitals each year.
